This fish has many trade names, Wide Bar Silver Dollar, Black Bar Silver Dollar, and Wide Bar Schomburgkii. They swim in the middle column of the tank and are very active schooling fish. Best kept in groups of at least five fish. Generally peaceful community fish and can be kept with other larger peaceful species. Much smaller fish may be eaten. Myleus mainly occupy the middle and top areas of the aquarium, so it is a good idea to select tankmates that occupy both the bottom of the tank to add contrast. Larger peaceful catfish such as plecos and doradids would be a good choice.

Extremely disappointed with this seller's unprofessionalism and lack of customer service. I ordered a specific type of fish, and to avoid any confusion, I even confirmed with them that it was the correct one before placing my order. Despite this, they shipped me the wrong fish entirely. To add insult to injury, they insisted I pay for return shipping to receive a refund for their mistake! I had to go to extreme lengths and waste a significant amount of time to finally get my money back. Their unwillingness to take responsibility for their error speaks volumes. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this vendor at all costs.
