Freshwater Amazon Puffer
Freshwater Amazon Puffer
A true freshwater pufferfish found throughout the entire Amazon Basin, the Amazon Puffer or South American Puffer is a small growing and relatively peaceful species that inhabits shallow water habitat. They are usually found in medium to large aggregations in sandy shallows, often in sediment-laden whitewater rivers or streams. In the aquarium, they are one of the few puffer species which will thrive in groups, and they are generally safe with similarly-sized, fast moving tankmates. Amazon Puffers are primarily carnivores but will usually accept a wide variety of frozen and freeze dried foods. Hard-shelled prey items are a necessary addition to their diet, so snails, shrimp, small crayfish, and other molluscs should be offered regularly to ensure their sharp beaks do not get overgrown.

I orderedan Amazon puffer fish but received a different species of puffer, Figure 8 which is quite aggressive. Seller did not offer to send the correct fish or to give a full refund, especially since their error and i paid top dollar for shipping. What a very big disappointment and bad principle!!
Hi Sherry, You got your full refund by the dispute on paypal you place it before you give me a chance to solve the issue betwin me and you, any time we send the wrong fish or in case of a DOA this can be solved but after you contacted me with pictures of the wrong fish I tried to get your refund sent to you but system would not allow me becase you had opened a dispute for the charge witch that stops me from doing anything with the system. would be quicker to resolve this if you just give me time that day to resolve it, i tryed work with you but remember i have a business to run and do this alone so emails don't get checked every 5 minutes, i replyed to your first email and told you we would figure this issue out. So sorry, enjoy the puffer!
