These fish were part of an order that included cardinal tetras and mystery snails for multiple tanks. The ordered albino Corydoras were to accompany two other Panda Corys in a 29-gallon aquarium housing multiple 5 years kept cardinal tetras, Monk tetras and Angel fish. Once the Corydoras were added to the tank, they immediately began to race around frantically, then lie motionless on the bottom. One of the new albino Cory was found dead the following morning along with one of my 2 years kept panda cory. For the next two days the other albino cory alternated between motionlessness and frantic swimming until it finally died. My other panda cory is still alive and well. I suspect the albino Corydoras of stress related pectoral poison gland secretion, but I am no expert. I understand adding new fish to an established tank comes with risk, however, this is a very expensive lesson for me that I will not repeat any time soon. By the way, all the gold mystery snails are doing fine. Small consolation.
Once Again if acclimaion is not done correct with drip water slowly to shipping water that gives the fish a better water mix before gets in to your tank, PH, Hardness, and temperature, the fish just arrived from a long trip and needs to adjust to temperature and your water, they should never act like that once he is added to your tank, there is no poison on them just going in to a new home. they are quarantined and ready for the tip, we dont ship anything that shows any signs or any issues, if any issues prior to shipping we contact the customer to hold order for a feel days or replace fish for a different species in stock ready to go.
