Ancistrus is a genus of nocturnal freshwater fish in the family Loricariidae of order Siluriformes, native to freshwater habitats in South America and Panama. Fish of this genus are common in the aquarium trade where they are known as bushynose or bristlenose catfish.

Shellie Johnson He is perfect. Healthy and a good size ..very pleased with the Pleco. I live in AZ admittedly at first I was concerned due to the distance for shipping . The reviews were so positive in every way ,so I decided to take the chance,and I am so so glad I did. My fish got here in less than 24 hrs .
