The bumblebee oscar is a fast-moving, active freshwater fish that has a black and yellow striped body, hence the name bumblebee. They fall under the category of the cichlid family and have small sharp edges at the end of their top fins, which they use as a defense mechanism against other fish. When these fish are younger, they often school in big groups, but when reaching maturity towards adulthood they can get up to 10inches to a foot long. When acclimated fully their black spots on their body get very dark ,and they enjoy a variety of carnivorous foods including shrimp, tilapia, bloodworms, and some often like carnivore sticks or shrimp pellets.

The shipping was fast the fish were in great health and doing great. The only negative is the Bumble Bee Oscar looks like my standard tiger Oscar and nothing like my other Bumble bee oscar or most pictures I see of bumble bees.
Thank you Don
True Bumblebee Oscars are Astronotus Crassipinnis as pictured on this order page. I received several very nice looking oscars, but not Bumblebee Oscars ordered. The store explained that their supplier referred to these as Bumblebee Oscars. Check with store first, before ordering these if you expect to get real Bumblebee Oscars. I think the store sells legitimate Bumblebee Oscars, but labels them as wild caught from Brazil (much different price).
You are correct on your review! There is 2 types of bumble bee oscars listed, one been the true wild caught from brazil the others are tank raised bumble bee oscars witch is the ones you ordered.
thanks for the review!
I like to say that my bumblebee oscar has died and my red chili oscar has died too but all and all the products are great you win the some and you lose some. I will still make purchases from you all.
