This species is peaceful towards non-swallow-able tank mates with dissimilar body characteristics. Combine with medium to large sized fishes that will not nip fins.  Suggested companions would be fish like Eartheaters (Geophagus), Pacu, Arowana, Leporinus, Acara, Cichlasomines, Cats, Loricarids.
