Shipping Policy

RATES: UPS Overnight service is automatically calculated based on quantity of items, weight and distance. Retail customers can receive free livestock shipping on orders OVER $1000 This does not apply on wholesale customers orders as the prices are dropped to our lowest and profit will not cover shipping. This includes corals, inverts freshwater and saltwater fish. If your order is $5000.00 or less, you will be assessed a shipping charge for the order.

WHOLESALERS: We are Growing our business every day and soon to expand our facility to provide faster services and better prices for resale, thanks for being our partner and growing together with us. (Prices are negotiable on LARGER ORDERS) 

PICKUP ITEMS: You can pre-order any item online and we will let you know when dry good or livestock is ready to be pick up at our retail location at 18 Mill Plain Road (rear) Danbury CT 06811

SHIPPING:  We ship to the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship to Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Alaska, Hawaii or to PO'S, APO'S or FPO'S. If all of the items in your order are ready to ship immediately, we will contact you via email to confirm a shipping date.  We will not ship any livestock unless the shipping date has been agreed upon. A tracking number will be sent via email once the item ships. Orders are shipped to the shipping address provided by the customer on the order. We are not responsible for incorrect addresses provided by the customer.

All live items are shipped via UPS using Overnight service Tuesday-Wednesday and typically arrive afternoon unless you choose next day early at checkout you will receive in the morning.

All livestock is packaged safely for transit taking into account temperatures at both origin and destination. That being said, it is our right to delay any shipment if we feel the weather may pose an issue. In the unlikely event of a DOA (Dead on Arrival), you must send a very clear digital photo within 2 hours of delivery (UPS posted time). Once we receive the digital photo, we will issue a store credit in form of a Gift card The store credit does not include the cost of shipping. We do not offer refunds. We will only issue credit towards future orders. You will have 90 days from issued date to use the gift card before the balance expires. Danbury Aquarium cannot be held responsible for mechanical or weather delays that may cause your UPS shipment to arrive late. 

ALL PURCHASES ARE FINAL: If an order must be canceled, we will offer you a 100% credit in the form of a gift card

ARRIVE ALIVE GUARANTEE: Danbury Aquarium proudly guarantees live arrival on all of our livestock. In the event of DOA (Dead on Arrival) we must be contacted within 2 hours of package delivery (UPS posted time), along with clear photos of the deceased item, both in the shipping bag, and out of bag. In the event that a buyer does not contact Danbury Aquarium within the specified 2-hour time frame, we reserve the right to decline DOA coverage. Such cases will be reviewed at management’s discretion. BUYER MUST BE AT LOCATION TO RECEIVE DELIVERY. NOT DOING SO VOIDS ALL DOA COVERAGE. No returns on purchases. Verified DOA’s will be fully credited towards future purchases (minus any shipping charges). Once the livestock is in your aquarium, we have no control over the conditions, so no warranty is implied past delivery. There will be no refund on shipping charges under any circumstance. You as the credit card holder agree not to "Charge Back" any charges. If free shipping was applied to the order, we will deduct all shipping costs from the credit. Danbury Aquarium is not responsible for carrier delays, lost packages or other acts beyond our control.

In Some cases, or Livestock species we may request customer to send pictures of DOA with the tail cut off, so our insurance accept the DOA credit!
